Rule Definition
Avoid using the scanf() function family: scanf(), fscanf(), sscanf(), vscanf(), vsscanf(), and vfscanf().
These are highly dangerous C functions that do not check bounds and should be avoided as they may permit buffer overruns attacks and are most often causing reliability issues.
